It creates a water-retaining veil to protect the skin* from pore damage caused by glycated perspiration*.
The formula also focuses on the difficulty lotions have permeating narrow areas such as pores*.
That is why we aimed for a product design with excellent stratum corneum pore permeation, by reducing lotion surface tension*.

A new point of focus. Blood vessels harbor the strength to overcome glycation.

We have discovered "GATA6-AS", the key for blood vessels to overcome glycation, within the 98% of uncharted genes, which are called "junk DNA".
We now know that vascular endothelial cells are less affected by glycation if they contain more of this substance.

POLA's Life Science Research: Red light

Our latest research on light lead us to an innovative idea of selecting light.

We focused on the fact that sunlight—which until now was thought to cause aging of the skin—also contained "red light," which has positive effects on the skin.
Featuring POLA's original formulation "Select Protection Veil." It allows red light to penetrate into the skin while protecting it from UV and near-infrared rays, which are both known to cause damage to the skin.

What is "red light"?

Light from the visible spectrum with a long wavelength of 620-660 nm.
This light possesses the power to positively affect the skin.
Because UV and near-infrared rays have considerable negative effects on the skin, the existence of red light has been overlooked until today. However, B.A focused on protecting the skin against UV and near-infrared rays while letting in the red light.

We focused on achieving a greater dispersion of more multihued light.

We newly discovered that the brain messenger substances "noradrenalin" and "oxytocin" act on the dermis cells in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, and produce the "skin elasticity factor: Tenascin-X."

What is more, we confirmed that in cells with an increased number of receptors that catch noradrenalin and oxytocin, a greater number of messenger substances can be utilized, and production of the skin elasticity factor: Tenascin-X is promoted.

We discovered that when you touch skin with elasticity, your "curiosity" increases, and furthermore, activities in the brain region related to "curiosity" may increase.

B.A Research Center named this theory focused on the connection between the brain and skin centered around curiosity the "Brain Crosstalk Cycle." This neuroscience approach creates an appropriate amount of space within the skin's structure, resulting in skin with an elastic feel that seems to push back from within.
